AboutEstablished in 2016, Studio Millspace approaches photography as an exploration of the interplay between art and architecture. We view architecture as an accumulation of spatial experiences, layered into a sequence of images that convey a unique narrative, shaped through the photographer’s perspective.
Based in Taiwan, Studio Millspace collaborates with architectural firms, artists, and design studios both locally and internationally, documenting a wide array of projects—from editorial commissions and exhibition designs to landscape architecture, construction documentation, residential, and public architecture. Our approach aims to go beyond traditional architectural photography, focusing on capturing each project’s distinct spatial qualities and the unique experiences embedded within each space. For us, architecture and photography are complementary creative practices, merging to create evocative representations of built environments.
In addition to architectural photography, Studio Millspace is engaged in an ongoing project titled
Borderline, initiated in 2020. This work examines the coastal landscapes of western Taiwan through photography, video, and installation, offering an in-depth look at the complex relationship between land and sea.
With a commitment to capturing the depth and nuance of architectural and natural spaces, Studio Millspace looks to push the boundaries of architectural documentation and artistic expression.
